INFO
Phoenix-based filmmaker Nathan Blackwell has directed over forty short films, two low-to-no budget feature films, written six feature film screenplays, and won twenty awards for filmmaking. His screenplay for "Transgalactic Zoo" was recently one of ten finalists in Final Draft's Big Break Screenwriting Competition.
His production company, Squishy Studios, has featured such "squishy" characters as ninjas, gentleman super spies, cross dressers, rectal-probing aliens, fortune tellers, face-melting nazis, suburban mad scientists, melodramatic role-playing nerds, magic-casting teenagers, and a girl who's addicted to drinking blood. The only thing that's missing is zombies, which he hopes to rectify shortly.
Nathan's current projects include directing episodes of Cazador Production's web series "Western X", and his own comedy web series, "Normally This Weird", which just debuted online. In association with EvolutionArts, "Normally This Weird" is about two twenty-something newlyweds who move into their first home together, only to discover just how weird the neighbors actually are ... one builds death rays in his garage, another family practices dark magic, all while the FBI secretly monitors everyone.
